Anyone know of any good character guides? Not just for building the character (points, classes, etcetera), but also for playing (attack chains for DPS, abilities not worth the time, etcetera). Specifically I'd be most interested in the Sith Inquisitor/Sorcerer, and the Jedi Knight/Guardian. Even better than some boring guide would be anyone's personal experiences that you've had with either of those classes, and any advice you could share. _________________ "I don't have dreams about the Navy. Assassin Guide. I found this to be quite useful.
EDIT: I read Inquisitor/Sorcerer as Assassin/Sorcerer. That guide may not apply to you. _________________ "What cheers me up? Um... I suppose mainly gloating over the misfortunes of other people. I took a Jedi Sage to 50 and have a Sith Sorc at 42 right now. I don't have access to character builder page, so I'm just kinda shooting from the hip.
The process I follow is: On the right-hand tree, I go up to the skill that reduces the cooldown for Telekinetic Throw/Force Lightning to zero. Then the 3-point skill that reduces the channeling loss by 75%. Then I work on Healing until I get the Instant HoT. Then back to the middle to get -9% cost on all powers, then +100 Force points. Then back to healing to get the Channeled HoT.
This gives me amazing solo ability and versatile grouping. You can heal pretty damned well and you can single target DPS consistently. Spamming TT/FL actually gives your more Force points after you are done channeling it. Drop the HoT on a target then the channeled HoT (there's a talent that makes your channeled HoT have a +30% or +60% (I don't remember which) chance to crit if you drop the instant HoT first). It's a bit rough when you fight an elite and two strongs, but anything else is fairly simple. If you have warning, you can juggle a lot of mobs and stay alive. You have an amazing amount of healing before you run out of Force points. _________________ Core meltdown (commonly known as a meltdown) is an accident scenario in nuclear reactors, and is one of the possible modes of failure for light water reactors, during which the reactor pile turns into a pile of reactor.
